Collaboration with CGEF and Eltham High School
The Commonwealth Girls Education Fund are a charity that help girls from the commonwealth countries attain an education despite the barriers they face, such as living in a war zone, natural catastrophe, being the sole carer of a family, poverty or simply because they are girls.
Taking testimonies from some of the charity's beneficiaries, students from Eltham High School, an all girls school, interpreted the testimonies into a comics format using textiles. These works were then exhibited at London's National Maritime Museum as well as being compiled into a zine.

The purpose of the project was to utilise the creative process to promote empathy. By producing a piece of work to convey the experiences of other young women, the students would engage more deeply than by simply reading a report or an article.
